Load planner
Check whether your cargo fits
Choose a vehicle, add pallets or crates and see how they are arranged on the trailer. The result updates as you go: loading metres, floor and volume utilisation, and weight against payload.
Vehicle
Custom settings
Enter the loading height of the door. The clearance is usually already included in it. Increase the clearance if you want a margin for sliding in with a forklift.

Cargo
The piece must fit in the selected vehicle, otherwise it goes to “Not loaded”.
The order only matters in “by list” mode.

More information: LDM, pallets, FAQ
What is LDM
LDM means loading metre: 1 metre of cargo space length across the full width of the vehicle, which is 2.4 m. A standard trailer has 13.6 ldm.
How to calculate LDM
Multiply the length and width of the cargo in metres and divide the result by 2.4. A Euro pallet measures 1.2 × 0.8 m, so it takes 1.2 × 0.8 ÷ 2.4 = 0.4 ldm.
The planner does this for you. It takes stacking into account, as well as the loading height of the door that you enter in the vehicle settings.
How many Euro pallets fit in a vehicle
| Vehicle | Euro pallets 1.2 × 0.8 m |
|---|---|
| Curtain-sided van | 8–10 |
| Rigid truck | 18 |
| Standard trailer 13.6 m | 34 (not stacked) |

Questions
Is the planner free?
Yes. You use it without logging in and without paying.
Is the layout from the planner binding?
No. The planner shows an indicative cargo layout and the number of loading metres. The forwarder gives the price in the quote and at that point also confirms whether the cargo fits in the vehicle.
How do I send the plan with my enquiry?
Below the cargo plan, click "Request a quote" and enter your e-mail. We send the link to the plan with your enquiry, so the forwarder sees the same layout. You can also click "Copy link to plan" and paste the link into an e-mail.
Can I stack pallets?
Yes. For each item you choose "Can be stacked", "Do not stack" or "Do not stack, but something may go on top". The planner arranges the cargo according to these settings.
Does the planner take weight into account?
Yes. You enter the weight of each piece, and the planner shows the total weight against the payload of the selected vehicle.
